I know it's a far away from being done but what are your thoughts on it? Knowing the Guild wars team, they've improved alot and by now should be able to make a great sequel. I just hope it is a very polished game with some nice adds. What do you think they will do with Guild Wars 2?
I read about it in PC Gamer Magazine and it seems pretty cool to me. They've got totally new races like u can play for the Charr, Asuras, and Norns which are a type of race that can shapeshift into huge bears. I wonder if the player amount is going to increase or decrease because of the huge changes they are doing. They're also making it so u can go solo now so u don't have to team up all teh time. U can't bring characters from original campaigns to GW 2, but the can buy the EOTN expansion for GW which is coming out in the Holidays of 2007, and with that u can bring your items, money(i think), your mini name tag thingy, etc. SO i think that this games gonna be great
its prolly not going to happen but i want it to have DX10 graphics..or if not that at least HD graphics..items like earings,rings,necklaces, and belts that add points to attributes..and i would like a match where their is not time limit and you have to make like 30 kills before you can win the match
Personally, I didn't like the first Guild Wars. I hate the whole "pay money for an online service" bullcrap for MMORPGs.
mate, wtf are you on about? guild wars is free, all you pay for is the account, one time fee, you can buy additional packs, i think you mean you disagree with sutpid pay monthly crap like WoW
All I can say is that... expansions and additions of an overwhelming amount of classes turns alot of players off... For example, before faction came out, I was actually playing gw for a reasonable amount of time, R6, unlocked all there is in the game, since the expansions, way too many classes are being introduced. It's not a matter of variety anymore, they just want to make money... Just my thoughts.. Guild wars 2? I'm not looking forward to it, because I know they will mess up the game by adding in dissapointing expansions, to make a few bucks. I understand, but 8 classes should be max, dont go anywhere above 8.. 10 is just too much.. Xuck
Believe me when I say the only people who downplay WoW are those who are too poor to try it. I have guild wars, I have well over 3,000 hours spent across 2 characters (my warrior and my monk). My warrior has every secondary class skills, and has about 21 million plat worth of item swaps, rare weapons, different enchants, etc. not including the items I could sell for money atm. She was in a highly respected GvG guild, as well as R14. The lag is and was horrendous from the day GW came out to the day I quit, in prophecies, in factions and in nightfall, all of the servers lagged for me, always. It did get better once in a while when I was in prophecies servers over the factiosn servers, but not by much (this was soon after factiosn release). I now play WoW. The game is MUCH MUCH more balanced, and they rarely create flaws the completely negate the entire ability of one class (ie, the dervish took the warrior position after nightfall was released, prior to having a major overhaul to fix it). The servers RARELY lag, and the UI is much more customizable. It takes a HUGE amount of time to be known, to level, to get geared up (where as in GW you could be 20 and geared in under... 7 days doing public runs) and it gets rid of all those dumbass annoyances that free online games bring (those little arrogant, self righteous pricks who are ignorant as hell and wander around the game ruining it for you). They listen to their customers (for the most part). You get far, far, far more than what you pay for.
I'm not sure. I've played WoW before and didn't really get into it. Everyone has a different taste in games. Me I like guild wars more then WoW but that's me.
Lol. WoW caters to people who don't play much - just because the majority of WoW players play it a lot doesn't mean you have to. GW2 may be the first "MMO" I pay for. Sounds good so far. Also, Daniel Dociu is a legendary artist and his art team rocks. I just don't want GW 1.
Meh, I'm not even going to speculate about it since it won't even be out for what, 2 years? If anything, I'll be speculating about GW:Eyes of the North until it comes out, seeing as it's coming much sooner
