Hey ive been wanting to get photoshop for a while and wonder how should i get it... buy if for $500 or spend like 700+ and get it for free?
define best way because if your referring to buying in the store vs. buying online then i would think buying at the store because then you have the disk and wont have to worry about downloading a 300 meg file and have it lost if your computer crashes. now if you mean buying vs. other means then i would say buying because it costs money for a reason. it took adobe a lot of blood sweat and tears to make their products as good as they are and we are paying for quality so i think it would be worth it to pay a mere $6-700 for it =]
I don't know about everyone else here, but I have a licensed Photoshop. My dad uses it for his renderings and whatnot, so I didn't have to pay a thing. But even than, I wouldn't support the warez or cracking of Photoshop because it is a very advanced program and I respect the people that went through the agony of making it. There is no program out there that can even come close to emulating Photoshop (No, GIMP does not come close....)...
Just use the trial version. I'd seriously buy it if I had the money, but I have other things to spend money on.
If you're asking us what you should do, then I doubt you should take it at all. If you really wanted PS and don't got/want to spent the money, you'd already got it. If you had the money you'd already bought it. Apparently it all doesn't matter that much. So either go download a trial and decide if you like it or not, or don't do anything at all.
