open up a true CnC thread to get the most tips, but really it's just quite an outdated style you're using so it's not going to get that great ratings. Try mixing up the colours a bit more, get a defined light source instead of lots of little ones, and work on the text

Lighting is good(and bad, the left side is too bright imo) and effects are ok, text just doesn't work.
