go with that combo and that cheepo RAM, sounds like he's just doing general use type of things. he doesn't need breakneck performance or anything. a pentium D might not game as well as an athlon, but it does multitask better. I'm too lazy to look around... go w/ the PSU and case BTK recommended. video card - doesn't matter, 7300GT is he does intend to do SOME gaming.
Yea, i was ganna get that psu, the case, the cheap combo, and thats the chip i have now and it does do good gaming, at least for me. He said he does play some counter strike every now and then.. Drop the secondary cooler. There is no point. You might see a 5-10C drop, who cares. If the person doesn't do any overclocking, and the heatsink is mounted correctly, he should see 40-50C with stock. With the money saved from no secondary heatsink, get a 7600GT, or some x1600. Pretty must anything is better than the 7300GT, and it is nice to have a card capable of playing a game should the time come.
i got the secondary cooler because there is no primary... the cpu is a oem... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817255010 ill get this psu... i have the exact same one and its working perfectly for about 8 months so far. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820161229 ill go with that ram.. a couple bucks more, but its overclockble..
