Well... I am soon traveling to the States and, as technology is way cheaper there than here in Europe, I was thinking about buying a laptop there. 1) Will I have any problems working in Europe with an American laptop? 2) What laptop should I be getting? I don't want to spend more than 1500 $ on it. And, are MacBooks good laptops? I'll use the laptop for internet surfing and some occasional gaming. Thanks in advance
i dont think you would have a problem using an american laptop. basicly the same. i would suggest a dell. most people use them and they are the best. i am using a compaq currently but i like dell better. and of course... WINDOWS!
dell is a piece of ----, id go with some other brand such as hp etc but most of thier CS is crap, my friend has told me experiences of HP support of having people who dont speak fluent english mainly from some 3rd world country you cant understand etc, if it has vista make sure it has at least 2GB of RAM and i think that still doesnt cut it
I would say to go with either Dell or Sony. I know that Dell PC's are Cr*p but you will be amazed that sometimes they come back up just like any other PC My friend has an HP Laptop and he is happy with it. He runs Windows Home Edition on it XP. But if you want to spend 1500 and go for a less one then get either a dell ... or a decent one get a Sony Vaio for about 1000 My friends (twins) birthday was last wednesday and they got a nice and decent (good for ocasional gaming) laptop for about 750 so if you can put some more money into it then you can get a good deal with sony as well It is your choice in the end because we other are here just to help ^_^ Do ask if need any further help -Zain
I'm not for sure, but I believe Europe has different wall outlets (proper terminology?). Wwe have 120V outlets, while they have 220/240V outlets. If I'm correct, you'll need a different adapter to charge your laptop, but that shouldn't cost too much.
Dell does make a nice laptop. Depending on your uses, I would choose between Dell and a Mac Book. If you're using it for office based stuff, web browsing, databasing, or anything information based, go with the Dell. If you're looking for more of a toy, look into the Mac Books. They are more "fun" than anything on the market, but you're really limited to "fun." the computer is built around multi-media rather than actual computing. The Dell, if you run Windows XP or Vista does have a nice media package, but you'll have to get new speakers, webcam (if you need one), and stuff like that to measure up to the Mac Book (where it's all built in) So basicly, Work - Anything (Dell recomended) Play - Mac
mmm actually I dun really work much so I just want some cool media features i think I'll go with the macbook or some nice-looking sony
