    What should I upgrade?

    why did you lower your multiplier. Put it back a 8x multi to at least get to stock E'6400 speeds.

    You probably don't need to upgrade anything, but what we don't know from these screenshots is your video card.

    PS. Try learning about overclcoking. You can get a bit more performance even with a slight OC of like 2.6Ghz. It shouldn't be hard, and it shouldn't raise temperatures that much. Try and find some how to's via google.

    I thought speedstep just fluctuated the voltages, not the multiplier?

    Anyways, how did you know he was on an OEM computer?

    I've talked to him before. He basically bought an HP model for like $3000

    had a c2d e6400
    2GB cheepo RAM
    cheap board
    cheap PSU
    7300LE

    and since then he's upgraded it a bit. namely new video card PSU and case.
