yeh it's nice... makes me feel good I can OC my chip somewhat more recklessly and not worry about the consequences. probably won't though.
then buy one with a cheap celeron and the upgrade the CPU on your own. or wait. you're choice. FYI if you're going the OEM route don't expect the price cuts to affect the computer's price all too much. a Dell which sells for $2000 the day before the cuts... will still sell for $2000 a month later.
not until they improve volume. Right now, a 2GB kit of DDR3 costs over $300 within a year or so we'll be seeing kits that can do DDR3 1600 5-5-5, but here and now 1333 7-7-7(capable of going down to 5-5-5 though) is the standard for DDR3 I like my DDR2 kits though, all 3GB can do DDR2-800 3-3-3
