    I was just wondering, how much would a fairly basic template sell for?
    How much does coding add onto a template? (like, un-coded template 5 bucks, coded template how many bucks?)
    Whats the average price of templates around here?

    Thanks =]

    Ok, how about an average one?

    What I'm mostly interested in is how much flash coding is worth xD

    Also, if you can code with Flash, right?

    Well here I'll explain Flash to you. :)

    Flash is an animation system, usually used to create movies an effects. Now, there is also a Flash language known as Actionscript. Actionscript is more of a programming language that it is a design languge. A design language is like HTML and CSS. Actionscript is a lot like PHP which runs the site. Actionscript it used in games or to trigger events. For example,

    Code:
    if(Key.isDown(Key.UP)) {
              person._x-=3;
    }

    That's actionscript coding. It usually costs a decent amount but flash animation is a lot cheaper.

    Yeah, I know what Actionscript is, I can code fairly well with it.

    But couldn't I use AS to do something like:

    Code:
    import flash.filters.BlurFilter;
    var blurred:BlurFilter = new BlurFilter(5, 5, 4);
    var storedBlur:Array = [blurred];
    link1_btn.filters = link2_btn.filters = link3_btn.filters = link4_btn.filters = storedBlur;
    link1_btn.onRollOver = link2_btn.onRollOver = link3_btn.onRollOver = link4_btn.onRollOver = function() {
    this.filters = null;
    }
    link1_btn.onRollOut = link2_btn.onRollOut = link3_btn.onRollOut = link4_btn.onRollOut = link5_btn.onRollOut = function() {
    this.filters = storedBlur;
    }
    I used that in one of my games.

    But, couldn't I use that on a template?

    On gamerenders ------ all.
    If you make decent templates and sell them on proper site like http://sitepoint.com your looking at $100+. If you start working freelance for a media group your looking at 500+ and even higher. Don't undersell your templates.

    Everyone's gotta start off somewhere man. I started on GR and now I do freelance an d get $200+ on jobs. And lots of people are to young to work on those sites. Im only 14...I can't go on SitePoint posing as a ----- when there are people who actually went to college for this stuff... -_-

    a really good template can be as much as 100 dollars coded but you can get them cheaper, and some for free if you search around.
