I was talking to a guy while playing Gears but his mic was cutting off so I missed alot, but any way he said something about a "repair" button on the PC that fixes your connection against lag. Was he bulls***ing me or can this realy be done(and if so how?)?

    thanks.

Control Panel > Network Connections > Right click Local Area Connection or whatever connection is there and click Repair thats on the list. I don't think it fixes lag but maybe I'm wrong. I only use it when my internet isn't working even then it does nothing helpful.
