ok here was the problem: My PS wouldnt open because a warning saying "not enough RAM" always came up when ever i tryed to open PS. I had 256 RAM at that time people told me "dont open more then one program", or "set your computer to best performance". And get more RAM. Well now i have upgraded to 512 and the warning "not enough RAM" came up again! The RAM isnt bad quality, because my online games run faster so the RAM does work. Can anyone tell me what else i can do to open it! P.S i dont open more then one program, and everything is set to best performance. So whats going on? If some one gives me the answer and it gets my PS back up will get 10 cred and rep!
1) yes i have reinstalled it 2) its my friends ripped CD one of my m8 told me to reboot windows, would that work?
u obviously have sum things running in the background, so try and kill some of those things by opening (CTRL+ALT+DELETE) and see if anything else is running also try turning off ur computer and leaving it off for like 10 mins, then boot up and try to open PS
Formatting means wiping your hard drive. I wouldn't suggest it unless it's a last measure. Here's what you can do. You may need to increase your Paging File. 1. Press the Start Button. 2. Find "My Computer". Right-click and click Properties. 3. Go to the "Advanced" section. 4. Under "Performance", click Settings. 5. There should be two tabs. "Visual Effects" and "Advanced". 6. Make sure "Visual Effects" are set to "Best Performance". 7. In the "Advanced" section, at the very bottom, there should be a part called "Virtual Memory". 8. Your Paging File should be at LEAST 384mb. Set the minimum to 384mb and the maximum to 1024mb. ~What this does is it takes up to 1GB out of your hard drive to use as RAM. So, if you need, you will have up to 1.5 gigs of RAM. This should do it.
omg i really thought that would work! but it still comes up, but it does come up faster tho but no seriously, maybe something is wrong with the PS i got.
Go to system configuration and disable "Adobe Gamma Loader" from startup: Go to "Start" > "Run" and type in the box "msconfig" without the qoutes. Then go to "Startup" and find "Adobe Gamma Loader" and uncheck it. Reboot your computer.
Can't be the RAM...something is wrong with your computer or Photoshop. Either your computer is failing to RECOGNIZE your RAM, or Adobe Photoshop is. Make sure the RAM is secured into your motherboard .
