For the most part, I've never gotten a C on a report card. But now, I'm pretty sure I'm going to, so did I ------ up big time w/ colleges?

Do they look at these things? Like if I got 1 C on a quarter report card, did I ------ up any chances of getting into a good college?

    Well, bye bye valedictorian...

Depends on what other grades you have, they should average your GPA out decently, and if you've gotten good grades previously in that class, I doubt they'd look down upon it too much, if any.

At most schools, having anything below a B will screw up your GPA, making it nearly impossible to obtain the status of valedictorian.

But unless you planned on attending an Ivy League school, you should be fine. Even then, if you could show signifigant efforts in community service and volunteer work, even the Ivy League schools might overlook it.

lol I've gotten 80 percents exactly for 2 quarters, and last quarter I got 89%

This quarter I might get 73 something.

My GPA is a solid 3.5..

See, at my school, our class leader has a GPA of 4.5. I'm ranked 19, with a GPA of 3.8. I guess it depends on the school, but I know I'll never have a chance of being valedictorian.

yeah...our school works different. I already lost my VD lol.

Just added that in for "comical" purposes. And yeah, it's just one class that brings me down, and you can probably guess it...MATH.

well, talk to your councilor or w/e, and see if you can retake the same course and same teacher for the A. one of the valedictorians for my class did that. i think its lame as hell to do that, but who knows. might deal out well for you.

    edit: i graduated 45/472 with a 4.2. so yeah.

edit2: i just read you might be getting a c this quarter. for the quarter, who cares. as long as the other quarter and your semester exam avg out to a b then don't worry about it. colleges don't look at quarters, just semesters.

Does your school base their GPA on a 5.0 scale?

    wow um your screwed..... kiddin

you need not worry the only way your gonna end up on the street is if you quit school lol and even then there's a good chance you wont end up on the streets. Also, there are many schools who average out all your grades which on the most part will cancel out those little buggers like the C your getting *shame on you XD* so don't worry Yale is still an option.

Relax and don't take it that seriously cause all your doing is causing stress that need not be.
