    You dont have to buy Crackdown... You can if you want in... But I got accepted, so I didnt need to buy crackdown, but I did anyways

    No, they give people who buy crackdown (what is a good game) the chance to take place in the beta.

    It majorly boosted the games sales, but I dont see how it is scamming, the orignal way it was planned, only a few americans and canadians who was choose got to take part. The way I see it is a chance for others to play who didnt get choosen.
