Comp Prob

umm when I play any online game on my come such as SFO or runescape my comp freezes and trunoff.When i start the game it works fine but after like 10 min first it stucks and than turnsoff.While it is stuck my comp screen goes dull.When it turnedoff i cant turn ir bak on for like 5 min.Can any1 help.The person who solve the problem will get all my current tags FR.So plz do help

check that your video card is not overheating

what is your graphic card?

It may also be due to your Power supply crapping out when you use anything that requires your graphic cards to use more juice.

what wattage and model is your power supply?

 

I had the same problem like u have , but i aslo had when my pc freezes i couldn't turn it on , i had to wait like a day or more or set my pc on off like 100 times and then it turned on.

And i still don't know what was wrong with it , I changed Motherboard , supply , etc..and i had still the same problem ..

 

I had the same problem, Its the power supply if it doesnt turn on, My pentium 3 wouldnt turn on some days no matter how many times i tryied, But the next day would turn on first time, I got a new power supply and never had the problem

 

i already changed my surge protector still and how do i check my video card?

to check your graphics card, use cpuz, google it.

you don't know. but since I fixed tons of computers, having seen this problem many times, it was always the power supply. So, naturally, I suggest you get a new power supply.

the most common cause of problems in OEM systems would be the CHEAP power supplies they use. Dell HP compaq emachines packard bell etc. all use relatively cheap power supplies. Gaming is the most intense things most computers do as it thoroughly stresses the CPU/memory subsystem AND the video system and doing such draws a lot of power and generates a lot of heat.

as was said, check your temperatures and if they're in check, chances are it's your power supply(though other possible culprits[while less likely] include the motherboard memory and to a lesser extent the CPU or video card)
