I just got photoshop some time ago and I got myself to at least know the concepts of layers, filters, etc. I can't do brushing too good. Impossible to get good brushes, and I can set images in the best position or extract a part of an image from another image. How did you guys learn Photoshop? Thx. I think this might help me.
brushes can b found at devianart.com but i personally find the site hard 2 navigate, also if ur new good-tutorials.com is always a great place to learn stuff
Well, good brushes are easy to find. The best spot is deviantart.com. And it took me a few months to become familiar with everything, but actually only a week of real concentration to understand everything the program can offer.
Took me a few months to learn how to use all the different features, etc. When I first started, I totally ignored the brush feature cuz I never really knew what it did and I had no idea what ppl were talking about. But eventually I learned (after lots of terrible "blending", etc.) and when I found Good-Tutorials, it was great cuz I learned a lot of stuff from there.
Taught myself up to the basics, then used good-tutorials and greycobra.com to boost me up into the more difficult techs, then experimented up to this point.
taught my self, lol had 1 month of mspaint experiance lol.i google brushes from deviant art.heheh i taught myself how to multi color.
i started 4 or so years ago, and taught myself, just experiment. and dont think that awesome images come out of nowhere, it takes time so take things easy and get some tuts to get the basics then move up to a more advance level
I actually picked it up fast. Started soon after joining GR...so that's about 2 months? You catch on real fast by hanging around here and looking at other peoples' work.
I pretty much guessed the basics and then experimented. I've been using Photoshop since January 2004...
i learned mostly on good-tuts, then i joined FactorGFX and got much better...then i joined here and got even better
I learnt Photoshop about 6 months ago, started teaching myself the basics learning stuff and just moved on from there.
