i have vista on another PC and it's ok. Slow at times, but we now have 3gb or ram. It still has the stfu isssue with some programs but hey.
i used vista for 30 days and yesterday i pruchased vista ultimate x64 ^_^ i can't wait til it gets here ^_^
i got my new computer a week or so ago, vista is freakin awesome :] having no problems with it at all, and it looks nice. the only thing i have a problem with is that when i want to open a program or something, that "Do you want to run this program?" thing shows up. sidebar is cool ^_^ all computers are gonna b <s>running</s>...er sold with vista eventually right?
I've been using Vista for about 2 months now and I really like it so far. I haven't run into any issues with the programs I use not working or anything like that, the only problem I have with it is that there's no Windows Media Player plugin for Firefox that I've seen. I have to open any links with videos embedded with WMP in IE7, but that's not a big deal really. So far it's been faster than XP was for me.
all computers that use windows yes. i cant wait til the school computers update to vista. some may do that this summer.
I'm an OS X user, although I do have Vista on my desktop at home. There are plusses and minuses, although Vista wasn't that great of an update, just got a bit fancier.
I have been told that certian programs don't work and it is bug ridden. I would (and am) sticking to XP untill they sort vista out properly.
it's an upgrade in and of itself if you have >2GB RAM and went w/ the 64 bit version not that programs and drivers work well though... in time in time.... http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html...W50aHVzaWFzdA== so basically NOT YET especially for me, since I have and currently am using a 7600GT and might be upgrading to an 8800GTS in the near future and plan to play at comparable settings.
i use vista a lot. I dont have many problems with it, although UAC can sometimes drive you crazy. each time im using winrar or thunderbird it asks me to allow it. but aside this fact, i like it. visuals are great, got no performance problem (except when i TRY to copy files from one place to another, it takes a hell lot of time to calculate the remaining time and actually transferring the data). but i got no software that isnt working (even all the freeware software i use still runs fine). only games run slower if they run but thats what XP can be used for IMO. Got the Home Premium 64-Bit Version.
I'm about to buy a labtop, so I'm definately getting vista >.< I'm thinking about partioning it and install xp as well. The only reason why I'm keep vista is because of the visual effects
From what I've heard, Vista hasn't lived up to it's expectations. Sure it looks good and all but I think they just released it a little too early. Link I also read that Sony is taking Vista off of all it's desktops and laptops because it has failed to deliver what everyone expected. So for now... I'm sticking to Windows XP.
