Basically, to make a smooth curved line, you need to click once for your first anchor point. Then, you click again where you want your end of the line to be. But don't release the mouse button. Pull it around a little, and you will see some 'arms' come off it. These can help adjust the length and curve of the line. Pulling the arm further away allows you to get the curve in different parts of the line, as does bringing the 'arm' in. Once you're happy with your shape/line, release the mouse button, then right click>Stroke Path. Select 'Brush'...Turn on 'Simulate Pressure' if you want sharper, sleeker lines, or don't check it for 'Chunkier' lines that are followed with more presicion.

    Does that help? ^_^
