I wasnt sure what section to put this in but i figured this was the best.

I just formatted my pc the other week and now i have reinstalled photoshop CS2 but when i try to do anything it freezes for like 5 minutes before it completes the task, ever something as simple as opening a new blank canvas.

Does anyone know what i can do to fix this?

    Whats your PC spec..

CS2 is known for being a resource hogger .. I recommend having 1GB but it will with 512 but lags for like few minutes :D

I've always coped with 512mb RAM. Shouldn't be that slow. It is annoying if I have any media player except winamp or Firefox out that it lags.

Defrag after install usually speeds up things
