Do you seriously believe this? Do you have any knowledge in physics or anything about nuclear technology?

mentioning that it has been posted 90 times before isn't adding something. Who cares it had been posted before, there are allways people that haven't seen it. and if you have seen it, just ignore it and go on to the next thread. If i had posted it into a new thread, then yes, your comment would be fitting.
And why are you mentioning the childish part again? No-one is blaming anyone of being childish.

Dude, with a name like yours i shouldn't even be posting this, but anyway..

That was just an example thats all over the news, I could mention so much more. If we wouldn't know what was going on in other countries, we'd be in a constant state of fear and threat.

Seriously, why the heck those people want nuclear bombs that much?
I see well why the americans see this as a threat, especially after all the wars and trouble going on against and with the U.S.

Yes well i changed it after i thought i shouldn't make it personal. You should try and visit a weblog, you'll get bored of all the people mentioning that something has been posted before or on another weblog soon enough. Then you would understand my comments at your post.

I will say this: you could go to the Netherlands, to the UK, to Germany, or to South Korea and get these same types of answers. Why? They simply edit out all the "smart" replies to the questions, though they're already going for the dumbest-looking ------er in the group to begin with.

That and they've had crowds shouting "Death to America" since 1979, along with kidnapping/harming diplomats (big no-no), auctioning off the former US embassy to a guy that wanted to make an "America park" which shows the owner's perspective of America (guess what that is), and the fact that they've gone around threatening to wipe Israel off the map and making anti-US development funds (funds to buy out US-owned companies).

Could be true. What you can't see from where you live to the US is that the country is trying to find alternate sources of fuel. I agree with you about it being all about money though. Gas rose 30 cents just in 1 day (today), which is crazy. But instead of complaining how ----ty of a country the US is, why don't you try and help to find a different source of fuel for the whole world to use? Also, eventually once another source of fuel is found, the middle eastern countries will lose money terribly, from countries who mainly use oil as fuel not needing it anymore.

I base that on common knowledge. Iran has done absolutely nothing to us. America will not start a war with anyone. Why should we start now? We have our troops in Iraq, we are to spread out over the world trying to keep everything calm. Yes i know America is the "peace" maker but i hate to tell you this, There is no such thing as "world peace" Let's say we did go to war with Iran, America would seriously be putting it's self into a huge problem that wouldn't be able to pull out off.

Oh, it could be pulled. The public just doesn't have the stomach for it. Speaking strictly regarding our military, we could pull it off easily. Air campaign would devestate the place, troops would roll in, and we'd get into another (early) Iraqi-style insurgency, writ large, but sans the sectarian violence, since the majority of the country is Shi'a and there's not a whole lot of minority to rise up and start pissing off the others. The insurgency there would probably be defeated simply because it wouldn't end up as the sectarian violence type.

An anti-US troops one could be won, but when you get that real motivation there like you see in Iraq, they'll be killing each other until one goes away or somebody steps in. And that'll be after we pull out, guaranteed. They'll be at it for quite some time.

Possibly, because the public is sick of war. Who is willing to take us into Iran? If we had to? There is no need to go into Iran? Maybe there is..America will not start a war. We are not that type of nation going around and starting the fights. But your points are well taken.

If the War does happen, it will not start with air campaign style and roll in the troops like Iraq.
It will start after that, and the Iranian insurgency will not be defeated easily (if defeated at all)
Iran isnt like Iraq, Their insurgency will be 100% more deadly than that of Iraq, why?
because like you said there isnt much minority, about 90% of the people will be fighting against you only, unlike Iraq where Sunnis & Shia's are fighting on 2 fronts (against each other and against the US)

    That is just sad.

Who won the Vietnam war? Us LOL. Name a country with U, Utah.

If there really are WMDs then I don't mind a war, but if they do the same thing they did in Iraq. UN did quite a few checks and found nothing, well "No WMD then let's give them democracy and hang the guy that held that country together for decades."

Yes, and what is the brunt of the insurgency in Iraq aimed at? The opposing side. Rather, who is their ultimate target? The Americans/other forces or the other side? The Coalition is in the way, not a target per-se. They'd be at it even if the US wasn't there, provided Saddam/Ba'ath rulers weren't in power. They tried it in the 90s and that got put down hard. Now, it's a different playing field--the government ain't taking anybody's side.

Taking on US forces directly just plain asks for an ass-beating, and it can and will be given, provided that the public has the stomach to stick around through both the good times and the bad. The reason that the US is having problems in Iraq is because it can't take a side--it's in the middle of two (well, three if you count the Kurds up north) sides shooting at each other. If it takes the side of one, the other goes into an uproar. Problem is that if you attack one group, the other'll claim that it's the Americans/them against their enemy and so on. It's been done.

There's no easy way out of that--what has to be done has to be done by the Iraqis and the Iraqis alone if they want their country to get onto its feet again. It's damn hard to win the hearts and minds of the people (how you fight an insurgency) if you get yourself bombed as you're walking away from the hearts-and-minds school opening session.

As for the no air campaign? What I meant was the one that decimated Saddam in 1991, not the Saddam strikes in 2003. Iran has a decent military compared to Saddam's--not a big threat either way, but there would probably be an actual military battle instead of the run-and-hide game that Saddam's forces played.

If we went into Iran, it wouldn't be over their leader/government, it'd be after the nukes if there's a good chance that they're there and they're posing a threat. Not only that, but I suspect that if we were to go into Iran, there'd be wider support for it (though, diplomacy is going to be exhausted with these folks anyway, and the US isn't keen on jumping into another war right now anyway--perfectly content with letting the EU take the lead on that).

Bottom line: this invade Iran talk, barring something drastic, is just a scare-tactic. Ain't happening.

Yeah I've seen that on TV about the anti-us stuff, well, I'm pretty sure they will make a big mistake if they try to, cause when the U.S is getting attacked the U.K and the E.U will go to war with Iran aswell.
