What Is A Stock ?

    Hiho, i would like to know exactly what is a stock plz
    Can i call a wallpaper a stock ?

    I think it's a picture with a guy/girl/animerender in it right ?
    Does stock mean something special ?(i mean like tag means tagnature, sig= signature, stock= ?)

    A stock im simpaly an image.

    A render is a cut out of a stock, so a stock is basicly an image of anything.

    most stocks are used for effects

    Anything photo or picture. Wallpapers are stocks.

    People render stocks... To get the render...

    Also, renders are sometimes called "stocks". At least in most tuts they are.

    Stocks = Renders with a background. Or just a whole image without a person/thing as the main part, like a scenery of a forest.

    most of the time its the basic background picture w/o any effects, hence the name "stock"
