Ive read all the books and i was so happy when i heard they were releasing it as a film. I know its quite a popular book series and wondered whether people think it will live up to the book, what they'd like to see done really well in it, and most importantly... Will it kick the Harry Potter Films ass?

Some big names like Nicole Kidman (Mrs Coulter) and Danial Craig (Lord Asriel) will be in the film. Ive seen a couple of previews for it and the whole Daemon essence of it looks pretty good.

Heres a link to a preview of it but im sure more can be found on the rest of the internet.

Thanks for postin that. I've read the trilogy 3 times..loved those books....immensely and always imagined the world in my head, and said , damn these'd make good movies..now I've seen the preview...I know it has potential, like most of those scenes and daemons weren't finish and I still like the approach they're taking..Can't wait for this! Woo..!

Trouble is with films, everyone has their own personal image of what a character, or a landscape looks like, and films bring everyone's unique ideas into one, universal one. But still, film looks awesome.
