Alrite, I've been running NOD32 for about an hour now and it came up with the following: C:\Documents and Settings\Guest\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\count.jar-7ba61a24-5278ba5e.zip »ZIP »Dummy.class - Java/ClassLoader.AA trojan Does anybody know how to get rid of this I don't really understand the whole Run in safe mode thing...sorry I'm a little technologically stupid.
Ok download a good antivirus software (avg avast etc) install it, update it, Then reboot the system in safe mode. It should be like F8 or something like that to do it. Scan there. Safe mode has less things running and more chances to catch and remove the virus
reformat is the last resort. to get into safe mode, reboot, press F8 when you first see the Windows splash screen, from the list, choose safe mode, and scan in safe mode, as you would in normal windows. If you cant do this, Avast might be your better option. It allows you to do an at-boot-scan, which means, it scans before all your programs start to run. Same sense as safe mode.
