Steam Platform Update Allways Gets Stuck?

    After i finished installing Half Life 2 and Counter Strike Source along with Steam (included in Half Life 2) i started Steam and an update that says "Updating Steam Platform" started.

    It always gets stuck on a random number, for instance, it is now at %80, it's been like this since like half an hour.

    The program is running and is NOT "Not Responding".

    What could be wrong?

    delete clientregistry.blob form your steam folder

    Steam is doing gay , I try to Install Half-Life2: Lost Coast and it give me error about that the servers are bussy :s

    id advise the same for you then, delete clientregistry.blob for your steam folder, if it still happens wait a hour or two and try downloading it again
