Anyone know them? I cant find a good guide anywhere.

I've a e6400 core duo 2 running at standard 2.13ghz, at idle both cores are about 35-37c, under heavy load, for example playing bf2, both are about 50c

Anyone know if thats about right? As I want a good baseline normal baseline figure before I start trying new heatsinks in the quest for coolness.

All depends on what cooling you have, If you have a stock fan then thats pritty good but if you have a massivly decent fan with heatpipes and alot of fans in the case, Also room temp, Its not very good

Thats a stock intel cooler I got with the system, and at the moment its only running one small case fan, I'm thinking of replacing the heatsink with something better, but not sure on what there is for this processor, I preferably want one where I dont have to remove the mobo aswell. Getting some better airflow into the case should be easier though.

playing CSS gets my CPu to around 40-44Cish and running orthos gets it to around 55C, but I need to reapply the thermal paste.

    c2d e6400 @3.2GHz 1.264V
    stock 2.13GHz 1.30-1.35V

@ stock clocks peeds and an undervolt, i think I idle like mid-low 20s and load at like mid-low 30s.

I'llg et bakc to on temps some time tomorrow, I'm getting a enw case and some thermal paste so I'll have a chance to lower temps a bit.

actually if all goes well when I move my system to another case today and reapply paste I'm hoping for 40-45C...

EDIT: like right now, in the early morning with relatively low ambient temps, I'm loading at 46C or so.

Your temps are okay for stock cooler. With my AC Freezer my cpu idles arond 26C and load about 35C. This is on 3ghz, with stock vcore. I'm sure it'll do with less voltage then that, but I'm to lazy to change :P

    new case.

    idling 31C @3.2GHz
    load w/ orthos
    46C

    EDIT: changed fan speeds slightly(lowered)
getting 29C idle on the CPU now.
load under orthos is 43/44ish fluctuating between the two
    load under prime is 40/41C
