    hm axioms.. first post

Yes the majorit of people jump down each others throats if that stops and if you think about what the guy ias requesting of you then maybe everyone can be happy

Well i wasnt here when GR first started however being member 18,000 odd and joined in March 05 [approx 1 year of GR] I knew what old GR was all about - In those days everyone use to help and the amount of people you see active today was triple that amount but now its only say barely 300-400 odd.

My views ... People too hungry for credits and sell them off as $$$ - People to selfish and do not admire others work - People like the first 2 posters eg the 'SHUT UP' ladies make GR go downhill

From when i joined till Dec 05 - GR was amazing but after that GR has gone downhill due to ver. changes then owner changes etc - but the major factor is the MEMBERS

Basically the people who think they are like the top p|2ofessionals should close their mouths and help others.. I dodnt believe in ranking crap but lately well certainly before it went out of control hence the word bans

o well letes make this work and stop the ranting :) plz

A good designer uses creativity ... one day it gets whored matter of life but will think up of a new idea and not use the same old one that most use until that gets whored - A circle of designing things

NSL has ------ed up signature ratings. I think that everyone is starting to become greedy and realizing that small graphics such as tags are able to make $1-10 dollars. I would like GR to just help people with their knowledge with PhotoShop so others can accomplish what they want to. Screw the money and screw the ratings. You want to create art not a profession. I myself buy tags that look good, ones that attract my eye in such a way that I can not look away, ones that leave me wondering how they created that effect; even if the effect is just off a stock. Everyone has to remember that Change is Automatic, Progress is not.

    Same as me :D

I dont believe ranking but buy tuts/tags/psds that attract my eye just like you - Glad to hear someone is like me and vice versa lol

    My improvement is:
    - Whoever says --- = Suspension :D
    - Get people involved in making tuts for the public & release a major PSD/render pack - I remember GR's biggest render pack being given away by kklown - he put alot of effort into that & I have never seen a PSD pack given away so maybe that

I know I haven't been a member for a long time, but I do understand some of the problems in the community. That's why I don't post so much because of some members and how I barely make sigs anymore. I know these might sound like some crazy idea's but I think some might work.

    1. Get rid of credits permanetly. Make the post count higher for the premium renders/tutorials so that way people can still pay the 5 bucks to get there. Also if people really care for the sight they will still buy donator's account to keep the site running.

    2. With no credits this way you won't sell anything and it will be a site strictly based on tutorials and resources making people just want to help people. Honestly NOBODY I mean NOBODY in the graphic design business would pay you even a dollar to make a sig/tag. It's absolutely ridiclious that sigs/tags even sell on this site. It's amazing how people shell out credits/money for these things.

    3. Also get rid of the warning system since to me it really doesn't do anything. Either suspend them and ban them if they really broke a serious rule. This way it gets the message across from the getgo and people will stop.

    4. Last time I checked the site was called gamerenders, not NSL. Anything mentioning NSL when selling a tag should be automatic ban so this way that ends that crazy mess.

I know these ideas might sound crazy and might lose some members from it, but it will make GR a better community it my eyes no doubt.

The idea to suspend someone for using a word thats already filtered by the forum word filter? I just think if someone in a thread says "These tags are rated that little 3 letter word" or "Go check NSL for this guys ranking :P", they should get a warning.

    haha thats funny lol

Anyways I agree Kawa & THFM - Credits just been here too long and is like amajor driving force when selling and buying - Would be a suprise if they did remove it :D But then it would boost up resources

Totally agreeing with the last post - Last time i checked ;) this is GR and not a sig ranking site like NSL

Well its not crazy just too heavy to digest when making the decisions :D

Getting rid of credits would be stupid. This site is known as one of the biggest markets for signatures, and getting rid of that would lose you a lot of members.

I think you guys are focusing on an issue that really isn't as large as some of the other issues with the site. Just because someone implies that something is ranked highly doesn't mean people will buy it. There are other issues with the site then just people saying --- or using some other form of words to imply it.

    Other issues:

    1. Credit value.
    2. Members attitudes (which we can't do anything about, people are born with a personality).
    3. Rating scenario.
    4. Scammers.

And if you get rid of credits it would elminate all four of those problems you just listed. The site can still be up and running with the donator and premium memberships and just because you won't be making money off tags which in the real world you wouldn't get a dollar for the highest rated tag on earth doesn't mean they shouldn't get rid of them.

    That's very true.

Getting rid of credits would damage GameRenders quite a bit because it's been labeled the eBay of graphics. But in the end I think it would be a good move. The mod provides fun yet a lot of problems. In my opinion the Admins should remove the credit system mod unless all they care about is site hits & members. I thought they would want a site that's full of resources and tutorials. A place where you can really come a Graphic Designer for no cost.

Getting rid of money in reallife would be helpful too. No more poverty, worries about paying bills, etc. But will it happen? No. Credits allow people to make a small profit off of their work. I personallly sell all my work, because frankly, I don't like it. No matter what you say, I highly doubt the admins will get rid of the creds. I just don't see it happening.

People have bought creds for real money, and getting rid of them is stealing from the people who have purchased them.
