I think you already made up your mind, but white looks cool indeed even though I didnt get the chance to see grey.

 

grey, the main section stands out more, on whiite it just looks full of empty space imo

 

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them though I am still a bit undecided as the gray does add that sense of depth and makes the center stand out more but I am not completely sure.
