I have a Zune, and I like it better than my past iPod video. That saying, I like the actual player better. In other words, the Zune software totally ------ing blows. Apple has iTunes down to a science, Microsoft just needs to keep up in that department (I also use a Shuffle for running, so I use iTunes quite a bit, and I'm relatively pleased with it.)

    Here's my view.

I have owned both a 30 gb Ipod video and also a 30 gb Zune.
I prefer the Zune over the ipod.
With the wifi transfer or not, the Zune is overall better.
The battery seemed to hold a longer charge for me, better/ bigger lcd screen.
Cool features. When your watching a vid, the button features change, it's pretty intresting. CD Albums show up on every song your on. Software is easy to use.
Traditional, push button, not that scroll thing. [This is a preference though] Like said, transfering of music, videos, pictures, to anyone else with a zune up to 30 feet or so. built in radio. I was playing japanese music XD.
All in all, i think Zunes are more durable and a better buy.

iTunes can't even read tags correctly on CD's I rip with itunes, I get duplicate artists all over my ipod, and annoying symbols next to tracks in itunes, or no info at all. worat POS software I have EVER used EVER. takes a couple minutes to start and sometimes crashes on exit. I can use winamp to manage my ipod and have none of those problems, sure the itunes music store is good, but the software needs alot of work.

I prefer I-pod, but then again I haven't ever used a Zune. All in all a Zune looks like it has better features, but I prefer the scroll wheel and I also like that the I-pod isn't some huge block, you can get it in a really tiny size to medium range.

Lol, well, for me, it is just fine. I have made sure I have no duplicates in all my music folders, and I have an E'6400, as compared to your P4 :P

iTunes is ridiculous, seriously. It is like hell, in a media player. Yes I have a p4, but yeah. So... I have an iPod, but choose one not from apple or microsoft, there are a few out there. Archos, Zen, whatever.

and there will be 4 new generations of zune, zen, riva, and various other mp3 players which "pwn" what's currently out there right now.

I don't see what's so great about any mp3 player. The iPod for example is a 100$ product which is literally marked up to $300.

this thread is basically fanboys arguing about who they prefer to have rip them off.
