Picked up this card about 3 months ago. Think it'll run BF 2142? Not worried about the rest... I'm running a 3.4 with 4 gigs of RAM, so I'm good there....

it's an EVGA 7900GTX of course it will run it

EDIT: you said GTO... oops, it must be flashed to the wrong BIOS. Go to EVGA's website and Download the 7900GTX BIOS...

EDIT: if it was UNDER 90 days, use EVGA's stepup plan to get a 8800GTS if possible.

i was joking when i said GTX...

    the GTX is better though..

BUT... EVGA used the same memory on that card as on the 7900GTX and the same GPU and the same cooler so it might as well be a 7900GTX FYI.

at stock performance difference is around 3% after flashing, there is no difference plus you can still OC it.

wrong application of the terms, you prettymuch can't bottlneck a freaking card if you can turn up the AA and resolution...

yeah you can, if its not at its full potential than its getting bottlenecked..

like my 7900gt is getting bottlenecked by my AMD 3500 because i can tell its not at its full potential compared to other people with the same card and a different processor

if you turn up the setting, the card will run at full potential or atleast closer too it.

there will always be bottlnecks, get over it. WOW your FPS went down by 1% who gives a ----?

wtf, his gtx is going to be running as slow or even slower than a 7900gt because his processor is a p4

and 1% rofl stop acting like you know every thing because you obviously don't if your saying his gtx is not going to be that badly bottlenecked with a P4!

ok... the CPU does it's part by rendering physics and AI. lets say it can only put out 50FPS.

turn up the eyecandy then, run 16xQ AA at high resolution and watch as there is no tangible performance hit.

yes, using a hitty CPU will lower your frame rate. But a graphics card can be set to render higher quality frames instead of a greater quantity.

gosh... i swear, you sound like an AMD fanboy. just because it's a P4 doesn't mean it's doomed, he can stil OC the thing for near athlon performance.

Hard to get an Athlon to 3.4Ghz.
