if its european, no, only like 10% of ps1/ps2 games work and hardly any online. Sony did screw over europe
Out of the box no, but when you get the next two system updates then it becomes 100% backwards compatible.
a minus rep, i would kill myself. Ok mr smart arse if you look at the website only 10% work without problems, 25% work with small problems and 45 % work with noticable problems. So go suck on that
And it is a select 72%. Please, you don't need to flame. As I was saying, the 72% are some games, but in the 28%, there may be a lot of good games. Sony may bring better compatibility in future updates.
im not sure about the percentage but i know its not 100% backwards compatible because lots of people had problems with ps1 and ps2 games that it became a problem and it even went on the news.
US PS3's should be 100% compatible because they still have emotion engine(the thing that powered PS2) inside of them and the newest firmware fixed most of the graphical issues. Euro PS3's don't have emotion engine but instead rely on software emulation and there should be 72% compatible games and the list will only grow. Still beats the ---- out of 60's compability list tho.
they work but still have noticable problems like killzone and bf dont work online and all socoms lag like a mutha ------a
