Ok First of all How are you peeps out there ? My Question: -I was wondering that is it good to upgrade my current Windows Operating System from Windows Media Center Edition 2005 to Vista Premium (which I will receive in about a week or two)? I am getting the upgrade to Vista Premium from Fujitsu because I bought my computer between those dates...well bought it on Dec. 17th. So is it good or lets put it this way, WORTH IT to upgrade to VISTA? Because I have seen many threads that are about people asking why is Vista this or that, how to solve this in vista... Oh...And does anyone has a list of programs that will not run on vista? like I need these programs to run on Vista no matter what.! -Photoshop CS2 + CS3, Cinema 4D R10, Ulead Cool 3D 3.5, Microsoft Student & Teacher Edition 2003, and many more that I have on my computer.... Thanks and I will appreciate any help concerning this topic. -Yours Truly --Zain Merged Post: So basically no one wants to help?
Hi bro , is I was u i will keep XP , I have now Vista Premium Home , and to be honest , i am not happy with it . I can run Photoshop CS2 (with errors ) and CS3 without errors , Cinema 4D R10 work perfect on vista , Ulead Cool 3D will not work ( Tried today ) Microsoft Student I don't know , and the teacher think also i don't know . Maybe make a backup of your XP , upgrade to vista and see or you like it or no , but belivie i don't see the WOW in vista .
Gac I agree with you ... I dont see the WOW in Vista either... I believe that once I get Vista I will probably back up my dad's laptop and install VISTA on there...(backup everything first)... after that we will see what will work and what will not work...! but yeah... OOh and if I make a partition will I be able to choose which one to load when I turn on my computer? and will I be able to delete it? because I have 300GB and I can make a 100GB partician if taht is possible! Zain
Yea , if u make partition , then u can load the one u want , and then u can delete the partition and then u have only one left. Good luck bro .
I am pretty sure you can load it choosing which one, you would just have to set it up.. But I have Vista Premuim, and im happy, havent had any problems, considering I use CS3, and most games work on it.
Then you`re lucky , I already tried to install two games , none of them want work . Trackmania United -> Don't work . Test Drive: Unlimited -> Works -> With errors .. I am sick of all that shi* , tomorrow i am gonna try to install XP back .
Photoshop 7 through to Cs3 work fine...I run Cs2 but have cs3 installed they both run perfect. Its mahy your computer not liking them Trackmania works. I downloaded the full game from gamershell and it funs no problems although network games lag a bit
I can`t get my game to work =( , and yea my CS2 opens , but the registration thinkg comes each time . I register , i get message all good, and then nex time i need to do all again .
Nobody should be complaining about Vista. Because everyone did the same thing with XP. They complained about all the errors. They are still working out the bugs and will keep coming about with Upgrades until Vista can run anything. QYB and just be patient. -Prodigy
Ok I get what you all are telling me but one more question if I install the VIsta upgrade do I have to backup everything on my computer? ... lolz
Instead of doing a partition.. which is easier. I just bought another harddrive and now duel boot. Just another option.
By waiting i hope you mean waiting to install it, because in my opinion it isn't worth it to install a new OS when the old one works perfectly fine and have the new one not be able to run certain programs.
