I do not know if this thread has been done before, the search was kind of meh on me. So I'll post it anyways, and take the hit for whatever happens: The thread is simple, you follow this format, and suggest the album for someone else to listen to: [ALBUM PICTURE] Artist:Artist name here Album: Album name here Track listing: List all the tracks and bold your most suggested for listening. The emo scene would be put to shame if any of them heard the immense power of this album. From beginning to end it absolutely shows off how 90s rock truly is. From the first track opening up with amazing grace, to the title track being incredibly loud and powerful and gripping, and finally to the last 7 minute song that ends in an amazing guitar solo, and something that is absolutely amazing when played in acoustic. It's hard to exactly pick what is the best tracks here, for each of them has their own identity and is incredibly unique and great in its own way. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Whoever is into rock should definitely check it out. It is truly worth a look at if you want great rock music.
i will suggest a few albums Artist: VNV Nation Album Judgement 1. Prelude 2. The Farthest Star 3. Testament 4. Descent 5. Momentum 6. Nemesis 7. Secluded Spaces 8. Illusion 9. Carry You 10. As It Fades Description: VNV Nation's last album, Matter and Form (2005), was hailed by critics for its high-impact array of tone and sound, from hard hitting anthems to euphoric symphonies. In April 2007, the band is poised to release its next album, Judgement, which promises to be their most powerful and unique release to date. Having already broken the boundaries between industrial and other alternative music styles on Matter and Form, VNV Nation take this idea to new heights by creating a sound that is a collision of ever present insight, energy, emotion, past and future. From its fast pace, pounding bass-line and melody to its electric-guitar like synth sounds and Ronan Harris's thought provoking vocals, "Nemesis" rings through as one of VNV's most aggressive anthems to date. "Testament," which could be described as an electronic-indie anthem, "The Farthest Star" and "Carry You" provide a bright, hopeful outlook, while "Movement" presents a dark trance flavor to the band's ever expanding repertoire of song possibilities. The omniscient "Descent" sweeps in with dark electronic rhythms and lyrics that describe complete devastation, giving the yin to the yang of the ethereal ballad "Secluded Spaces" that makes you feel like nothing in the world could be more beautiful. With every album, VNV Nation manages to tear down more and more musical boundaries. Judgement will be their greatest achievement thus far. Artist: VNV Nation Album: Empires Track Listing 1. Firstlight 2. Kingdom 3. Rubicon 4. Saviour 5. Fragments 6. Distant (Rubicon II) 7. Standing 8. Legion 9. Darkangel 10. Arclight Description This album is a marker for the band, engaging EBM and Industrial sounds and rythms with unadulterated vocals rather uncommon to the scene: self-labeled "futurepop" that runs the emotional gamut from slow and subtle to the heart-pounding, foot-stomping adrenaline rush. The album is a favorite with diehard, longstanding VNV fans as well as those new to the sound altogether; the lyrics are painfully insistant, to the point of easily being interpreted a call to action. The vocals are also a crowning gem, and are organic - generally an unsynthesized breath of fresh air - and feel more like active poetry or the oral traditions of ages long gone. The sounds are better executed than armfulls of other bands, and the combination is unforgettable and irreplacable.

His voice was in the best condition in Soundgarden, though. He has had vocal surgery and the alcohol took its toll on him right before and during the time he had in Audioslave. The albums so far I'm going to download the suggested songs. They all look great. New music for the win. ^_^ BTW AiRPLANE, I love the electronic uses in SEA. VnV Nation looks to be freakin awesome. Can't wait to start a downloading spree.

I learn something new every time that I listen to this album. Sure the songs may be weird and odd, but I seem to think that they are pretty good. Animals came out in 1977 for the record. This is my #1 Pink Floyd album currently. And my favorite songs on this album has to be between Dogs and Sheep. So if you like classic/psychedelic rock, this is a must have.

Pearl Jam's first 3 albums, Ten, Vs., and Vitalogy were considered to be some of the greatest albums of all time, along with being some of the best selling albums to go along with it. Pearl Jam quickly changed direction, and changed popularity to go along with it. By the time the new millennium had hit, they were lucky to hit gold. This album pretty much revives them, they've moved on back to their roots of their first few albums, everything feels like it could be in Ten or Vs., it is possibly one of the best Pearl Jam albums since god knows when. Everything is done beautifully and wonderfully. This is truly one of the best albums of 2006, and something I suggest anyone taking who longs for actual good music in today's heavily fake Emo scene should check out.

Artist:Tegan & Sara Album: So Jealous Track listing: 1. You Wouldn't Like Me 2. Take Me Anywhere 3. I Bet It Stung 4. I Know I Know I Know 5. Where Does The Good Go? 6. Downtown 7. I Won't Be Left 8. Walking Wth A Ghost 9. So Jealous 10. Speak Slow 11. Wake Up Exhausted 12. We Didn't Do It 13. Fix You Up 14. I Can't Take It Desciption: The music of Canadian pop duo Tegan and Sara is the sort that inspires rock critics to yank out all varieties of tried descriptives: "tart," "bittersweet," "immediate" and so on. Their quick, dashing melodies are, say, "brimming with indelible hooks"; their thin, wiry voices are "cold, but sweetly endearing." There's vague merit to these clichés, but the group's newest effort , "So Jealous," sidesteps pat description with a blend of memorable songcraft and melancholy sentiment. A song like "You Wouldn't Like Me," which opens the album, could easily serve as a template for the rest of the record-churlish, sad, hiding in its bright arrangement a romanticism that belies the lyrics' hopelessness. "Fix You Up," meanwhile, serves with appropriate sweep as the LP's most epic track, building to the sort of ecstatic pop climax that so often is forced and rarely is earned. Moments like that flourish, well-earned, on "So Jealous." It's an album filled with fractured relationships and unfulfilled love, but one lifted by the music's lively counterpointedness from the lower reaches of enjoyable to the better half of lovely. This isn't bottle-blond irony of the kind perpetrated by indie clowns like Nellie McKay. This is surehanded, elegant, danceable pop-tart, bittersweet, immediate and perfectly enjoyable. Artist: Lily Allen Album: Alright, Still Track listing: 1. Smile 2. Knock 'Em Out 3. LDN 4. Everything's Just Wonderful 5. Not Big 6. Friday Night 7. Shame For You 8. Littlest Things 9. Take What You Take 10. Friend Of Mine 11. Alfie Desciption: 'Alright Still' is the debut album from comedian Keith Allen's daughter Lily Allen. Taking inspiration from her London surroundings and the music collection of her parents, Allen delivers a mix of ska, punk, hip-hop and rock with a hefty dose of pop. The album includes the extremely limited 7" single 'LDN' as well as 'Smile'.
Artist: Moby Album: Play Trackz: 1. Honey 2. Find My Baby 3. Porcelain 4. Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? 5. South Side 6. Rushing 7. Bodyrock 8. Natural Blues 9. Machete 10. 7 11. Run On 12. Down Slow 13. If Things Were Perfect 14. Everloving 15. Inside 16. Guitar, Flute & String 17. The Sky Is Broken 18. My Weakness Description: this is the one album of his where I can say that he got everything perfect. The beat, the lyrics (or lack of). Everything just sound great, and it's really usseful for getting the blood pumping. Also, I can suggest 'Extreme Way' in the album '18'.
These Two albums are for hip hop fans ( real hip hop not MTV's make money music ) and those who comment on rap in a negative light based on the utter junk that they see circulating in the worlds media. Keep and open mind and listen to the concepts. Artist: Immortal Technique Album's: Revolutionary Vol 1, Revolutionary Vol 2. Vol 1 Tracks 1. Creation & Destruction 2. Dominant Species 3. He's a hard hitting, complex, interlectual rapper which will really change your view or strenghthen your view in regaurds to hip hop culture. His basis is mostly political, with strong focus on the "Bush" Government, war in iraq, 9/11, conspiracies and racisim. However he does take it back to the underground rap battle scene with hard hitting puchlines, massive vocabulary, strong similies, highly opinionated views which really paint a mental picture. If you only listen to one of his tracks ever, Make it " Dance With The Devil " Its a story rhyme with a moral's appeal. and listen right through there is a scribble Jam at the end with diabolic. Enjoy.
