Me and my friend had a talk a few days ago about whether or not death was a good ting or a bad thing. My point of view is that Death glorifies Life. The reasons for this, is because it is like the final chapter of your life. It is what distinguishes your life from someone else. It is the beauty to mortality. What are your opinions on it?

I agree with you, if we never died, there wouldnt be anything to live for. We all gotta die sometime, might as well have as much fun as you can.

Death FAR from Glorifies you. It is NOT what seperates you from someone else. What seperates you, is your LIFE. EVERYONE dies... that is nothing special... living is the thing that's special.

This is not to say that death isn't important. But I believe living is more important than dying.

Some deaths are good, some are something that isn't deserving.

For instance, when my aunt passed away a few months a girl, while I liked her a lot, it was best for her to pass away, for she was just in pain at the torments of cancer.

However, if someone were to die, say, by murder or something, nobody innocent deserves to be murdered.

All depends on the way someone dies if it will glorify life. Not all people pass away all "whoopty doo Im leaving all happy!". All depends on the person.

Life is precious, but people tend to not appreciate it and think nothing of it, which is why I think death comes quicker to some. Can't see why death would be good unless you were suffering from something.

I think we make more of life and dead then they actually are. Our brainfunction is much higher then that of other lifeforms. I don't have a clue why, but i think it's just a coincidence. Our higher brainfunction seperates us from other lifeforms, but it also makes us quite useless to nature. Plants change carbondioxide(toxic) to oxigen(a needed ingredient for most lifeforms). Bacteria get rid of all garbage, other animals eat each other to maintain balance. All we humans do is destroy nature, dump toxic waist into oceans, kill every single creature of a species untill they get extinct. While doing that we think we are better then every other creature, because we are so much evolved.

I think life was intended to be nothing more then contribute to maintain balance of flora and fauna. Death is nothing more then the final stage in contribution, we give our own body to mother nature as nutrition for other lifeforms.

This makes it sound stupid to have consciousness, but that's not what i'm trying to say. If we did things different from the start, and respected every other lifeform, we could both have a consciousness and contribute to nature. I think we just screwed it up big time. Only thing we can do is hope for a new start on a new planet, because this one is beyond repair (at least as long as we are around to destroy everything).

i feel that after we die, we just rot in the ground, and that we should enjoy life while it lasts
