You know, when you actually look into it, I never deliberately called myself intelligent... that was something to assumed I claimed immediately. You called me childish for a few words that if I was actually being serious, I would have placed into huge detail. Just because I used the term "People suck" doesn't make me childish at all, what would make me childish is if I purposely attacked someone in particular, and said THEY suck. It's nice of you to double the amount of insults and claims on me for a few words. Real nice to say I need a life when I already have a great social life.

I wouldn't have called you a douchebag if you had not told me to get a life. You act like I have made an enormous insult to this ENTIRE community for something that could have been cleared up in 2 posts.

maybe you two should continue to e-bulley each other via pm

There is nothing wrong in giving out information on the internet, as long as you do it right. I allways use the same bogus information when i need to register somewhere. I also have 3 e-mail addresses, 1 is for spam and registration-purpose i also use this one when i'm in a gaming-clan or something, 1 is for friends this will never be known by people i only know from internet, and i use the last one as backup to keep several "clans" seperated (say one is for gaming and the other for gfx).

I only give my real information to people i know in person, or someone i have contact with for a long period of time.

There are allways annoying people out there, waiting to annoy others. So if you become a victim of e-bullying it is mainly your own fault.

If it was so easy to clear it up in 2 posts, you shouldn't have posted such a stupid comment.

    End of discussion.

    Merged Post:

I agree, what you do is smart.. But its not allways that your own fault.

I see this a lot on myspace. Our school forum is full of it. A lot of people bash the members of GSA(gay straight alliance), this racist guy we have, and anytime you post something that the main guys think is stupid, they don't hesitate to let you know. They say some pretty mean ---- on there. Some chick started cutting herself cause they were repeatedly calling her a fag and stuff, and then kids saw it and started saying it to her at school too. Seriously, this crap can be serious if taken the wrong way.

lol but maddox doesnt direct it at a specific person, unless you send hatemail and he posts it... but then he just points out your stupid mistakes.

read his faq page, it says all the stuff he says he hates, he really doesnt care strongly about in life anyways. maddox isnt ment to be taken serioustly, its just a crude humor site like any other.

Reading through the thread again. I do want to question something: Why is hacking getting involved in this discussion?

What they mean is basically the argument me and Morv had, which on both ends was completely ridiculous if you read through it again. They don't mean hacking into someone's computer and taking their information. This is where this thing becomes stupid, like many organizations who think they can protect the internet but lack any kind of understanding of how the internet actually works, they do not realize the REAL dangers, but just worry about the text that someone sends someone else on AIM, MSN, or Yahoo Messenger.

They think that stupid little insults that are taking seriously only by the people who has yet to even hit High School is a big issue. This is why this thing is completely stupid. They DO NOT CARE about hacking and THOSE consequences, they just worry about INSULTS. Look at the video again, it has nothing to do with hacking and stealing personal information and posting them at a homosexual forum. No, they're too ignorant to see that.

"Zit face" is used on another video of that commercial...zit face...give me a break, these pathetic insults are really going to get the country to get this message around? I actually laughed at these girls insulting another girl. This is more comedic than it is educational or informative. That's sad.

These are half-assed attempts at trying to get people to be nice. Human nature is pretty cruel in real life too, why not stop people from insulting someone else in reality, rather than concentrating on the internet?

Look at it this way. Columbine, a tragedy that occured in 1998 where 2 people went on a massacre across their High School and murdered/injured people whom they hated, or simply didn't like. Those kids were getting insulted and picked on, they were hated by many of the kids. They took the insults in reality, and nobody seems to care about those insults, and nobody makes an attempt to stop kids from doing that in real life. Yet, for some odd reason, people want to stop it from happening on the INTERNET.

We need to stop caring about the internet. Seriously, we can all live without a PC. We need to start worrying about the insults being thrown at people in reality. At school, at work, in our own homes and neighborhoods. Why must we concentrate on insults in a place that we can easily STOP our personal information from being passed out, or DON'T TALK to someone who is insulting us. We can't stop someone from insulting us horribly by a click of a mouse in real life. In real life you REALLY have to take it, yet people do not care...nice one. -_-

This debate is not on whether or not you do "smart" things to protect your computer from getting hacked. This is about insults, not hacking. Get it straight.

If you take the insults that are given online seriously, then you need to rethink things. Just get over it, all they are are words.
