hi, i just want to ask you guys if what's VoIP? how does it work and what's the best VoIP provider that offers the best deals?

Good programs are Teamspeak and Ventrillo. Some games have a VoIP client in the game itself.

I wont go with vonage. Verizon has filed a lawsuit against them. Company's crumbling to ashes as we speak. And im on dial up. any VoIP provider which might work on dial up?

 

No..and no. You can't run VoIP on dial-up and Vonage isn't crumbling to ashes..

all VoIP telephone services require a broadband connection. and i doubt vonage will crumble because they are a huge company that revolutionized VoIP

 

Who uses dial up anymore anyhow... it's called CABLE. Get it! It'll be worth your while, or lack thereof.

 

Vent is byu far the best I have encountered so far, that just IMHO.

Actually Vonage is about to cave in if they don't get their act together because right now their in deep sheit with this issue with their IPO and they could be shut down for violating security laws. Oh boy won't this be great :mellow:

 

I doubt the company will totally foreclose. Like two weeks ago, a judge ruled that Vonage could not accept anymore clients, and then after a few days or so, either the same judge or another ruled that they could because otherwise it would 'mean disaster for their bottom line.'
