Call Of Duty 3, Purple Heart.

Well I checked online but I don't quite understand what it meens.

I usually only see, "For perserverence despite grevious injuries".

What does that meen and how do I get it =\

 

I'm pretty sure you just have to put it on the hardest difficulty and die alot or something.
