I have told a few people my own theory, and this is a good example.

What if, the God in our eyes is really what Satan in our eyes is. The only reason we perceive God to be the God he is, and not the Satan we see Satan as, is because God got to us before Satan and indoctrinated us before Satan could, and made Satan seem bad when he's really good.

If you could follow that, Kudos to you. It's just a theory of mine, and it doesn't seem like it's that impossible. However, I'm an atheist and I don't believe in God or Satan. I treat them as characters from a book, which they are exactly that.

Those who God ordered to be killed in the Old Testament was not doomed to "hell", they went into basically a "waiting place" until the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. You see, if anyone here ever bothered to study the Scripture in any sense or form before molding in their understanding of life, the universe, and everything, they would know, when Jesus died, the sin of the world was placed on him while on the cross, therefore...he went to hell. While having his little meeting with Satan, he took the keys of death and Hell with him, and made it that people no longer had to kill something innocent to justify their own sins.

Satan is responsible for every single death in the Bible because without him there is no death period. This chart is an absolute bullcrap twist to make God of Christianity look bad. Nice one, whoever decided to make the chart.

Just for the record, too, I'm not overly religious, but I point out bullcrap when bullcrap is being spurred. Whether it be FROM Christianity, or FROM people who think Christianity is bad.

This poll is stupid and pointless, kthnx.

when in the bible are these references from.

Also, the bible is not a complete history of eveything it's more of a summary.

perhaps Satan killed or is otherwise responcible for the deaths of a few million not otherwise listed.

Also... DURR... God flooded the world... deal with it.

    Let's gets some things straight:

Satan is the source of all sin and corruption, if you have ever taken the time to read the Bible. There was no death, or sin period, in the world when Satan came into the Garden of Eden. Once he came in, DEATH came. Therefore, he is responsible not for just a few million, no, EVERY SINGLE DEATH. He is responsible for every death, not God.

Oh, God flooded the world? He did so because of the SIN that was in the world, which was far greater than the sin of today. They had, according to the Bible, completely forsaken the way of righteousness, BECAUSE of Satan. So tell me, xelink, who is the bad guy here, the one who actually implanted the sin (which was Satan), or the one who eradicated it from the earth (which was God)?

Jesus Christ had a title entitled "the fulfillment of the law", why did he had such a title? It is because his death on the cross is a sacrifice that gives us permanent forgiveness of our sins. If you've read the Bible, the Old Testament's killing of animals and such, did NOT give complete and total forgiveness. The killing was temporary forgiveness until Jesus Christ died on the cross.

People did not go to Heaven in the Old Testament because no one was truly forgiven, at the same time, though, people did not go to Hell in the Old Testament because Judgment Day had not yet come. So wherever they did go, it stands to reason that they were allowed to choose whether they would place their faith in Christ Jesus, or be sent to Hell as they hadn't been forgiven.

In Romans 6, it says "Count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace." In the Old Testament, it states they were under the Law, and Jesus FULFILLED the Law. That's why when he died he said "It is finished." The Old Law had passed away, and a brand new era of grace had begun.

Note how in the New Testament, no one was EVER ordered to kill by God, or for God. EVER. Why? Because after Jesus, death was final. The forgiveness was there, and once someone died they no longer had the chance or opportunity to accept Christ's death as sacrifice for their sins.

Did God call for Death in the Old Testament? Yes, he did.
But if Satan had not existed, there would have been no sin, no evil, no death at all. Satan is responsible for EVERY SINGLE DEATH in the history of mankind. PERIOD.

I can't believe this post had to be done.

    Enjoy the reading. ^_^

Says who? The poll? Just like anybody could have made up the Bible, anybody could have given false information to say that. Why do you go around seeing something and then automatically assume it is true?...that's not cool...or smart.

First: wasn't/isn't there some sort of unspoken ban on religious topics, seeing as they end up with "lol ur a moron for believing that" or "lol ur an idiot and a bigot and u ------ing suck?" Just curious, seeing as they always seem to start off with "Let's not have a flame war but (insert putting words into peoples' mouths, bringing up an 'objectionable' topic without actually looking into it, etc.)."

Bluefalcon's correct for the Biblical version. Had Satan not corrupted Eve, who corrupted Adam, bla bla bla, sin into the world, no more happy place with no sorrow or death or anything bad, there wouldn't have been any of this mess. One point that you got wrong was that people *did* go. A guy named Elijah got himself lifted up into Heaven, apparently.

I'd just love to bring up another debate that I've posted somewhere else, but it's off topic regarding the original post, so I won't.

Actually, the Bible never said where he went. It just said he was caught up in a Chariot of Fire. Where did he go? Well, we'll never know.

Make a new thread with the debate, Ferret. ;)
