Ok guys i don't know what is wrong with my photoshop, whether i have taken this out or if a file is corrupt, meh i don't know.

Anyhow the problem i am having is this:

When i try to open a png file in photoshop it says 'can not open file C:\Documents blabla yada yada because of a problem with the file-format module interface'

Do any of you guys know what is wrong and how i could possibly fix this?

    Thanks in advance. :)

Ah, that sometimes happens to me too...

I think it's to do with the Interlace options it gives you when you go to File>Save As. When saving as a .PNG, try to go through 'Save for Web', or when saving the .PNG through 'Save As', make sure you check 'None' and not 'Interlaced'.

That's what I do anyway, and it hasn't happened again since I started doing that.

    Hope that helps. ^_^

The png files i have tried to open are tutorials that i have recently just bought.

Photoshop was alright before then so i thought it may have just been the file that i had been sent as one of them was corrupt also. I then checked one of my other png files which had previously worked in photoshop and that wouldn't work either.

I will try that though, thanks :)
