Fat16 Fat32 Or Ntfs, Huh?

    I need to know which Im using. how do I tell?

    In "My Computer" right click on any drive, hit properties then

    File System : xxxx


    Its there

    well even simpler, are you using 95/98/me cuz thats generally a FAT thinkg xp/2k/NT like the better NTFS category(generally of course :P )

    FAT16 is really only used in floppies so I doubt you're using that.

    FAT32 is used in older operating systems, and is useful for space, but it is still used for modern operating systems.

    NTFS is the format used in NT/XP. Most likely, you have this one. But you can check simply by going to My Computer, Right Click your local drive (the drive on which your OS is installed), and hitting properties.

    btw, Im assuming you're using Microsoft and not Mac or Linux. <_<
