Freestyle theme sucks, especially when its for the bigger prize, given someone who made something 6 months ago that everyone loved can just enter that as long as it wasn't entered before....

Themes at least mean a likelier chance that people actually make a new graphic. I always make something new for the contests...

(this isn't a bitch, coz i've won SOTW lol..... only 2 ago,) just my opinion.

With "freestyle" it should always be summat original, there shouldn't be any tuts available for the sig thats been made imo

Well winning a Sig of the week contest means your good at sig making, ;) Don't diss that man.

The original posts are that Freestyle leaves it too open, when people can enter anything, it isn't as imaginative.

I'd enter, but I hate putting my name on my sigs. >.< It just looks so lame to me.

^he means it's cooler when all the entries are made on that week specifically, as opposed to let's say taking a sig which won SOTW's at other sites like 4 months ago and then submitting it to this site now.

so far I think alyxxs sig is the best.

Aye i didn't mean People shouldn't be able to enter old pieces, just freestyle means anything goes so people (as ascillor said) will enter pieces they've made months ago that people liked, I like "Specific Themes" for these as there's a higher likelihood that the piece is made uniquely for the competition, and that's what contests should be :). (its just altruism tbh)
