It's gone down to about 50oC since the screenshot, but my new PC is running very hot. Intel stock cooler, rest of specs are in sig.

ibeleive the processor is IDLING at 30C and that the 67C is the northbridge ro else a readout error.

also idle temsp are useless, it's load temps that matter

run orthos and give us temps after a minute or two.

and the stock cooler is worthelss FYI

Give me a decent priced (No more than $60 after tax, CAD) cooler I can get PLEASE. This one is annoying. And I'm not doing anything right now, and it's 60C. I've read that the stock is a useless waste of materials, but I didn't have any money to buy a better one, but I can come up with the money in a few weeks.
    Edit: Peak 85C

Will the difference between the two matter in a fair amount of degrees?

Big, the Ultra 120 is the best air cooler out there at the moment, still if you don't overclock, there's no reason to buy it. I got a AC Freezer and if you buy the Ultra you will also have to buy an additional 120mm fan.

Temp1 is Mobo(NB) and Temp2 is CPU. The core's can go up to 100C without any problems, AS LONG AS CPU TEMP STAYS UNDER 60, according to Intel and Everest.

Yeah, CPU temp itself was maxin out 110C. I will be overclocking, but I don't have that much money, my moms not givin me any more than $50, after tax, so I need a cooler, and AS7 from http://www.canadacomputers.com/, don't worry bout shipping, but I want my temps lower than 40C if I can, if not, the best I can afford does it. Thanks guys.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I underclocked and am keeping my heat at a decent level...

    40C is actually relatively cool

80C is the threshold where it starts to be worriable

core 2 quads load at around 70-80C using the stock cooler.

and if your processor was hitting 110C it would have been dead within an instant, I'm guessing a sensor error/misreading.

    try TAT

I got it idle 29C 54C load, playing with the HSF, so, I still would like to get a good aftermarket though... I'll get the $30 one with AS7. Thanks for the help guys.

You guys forget something, there are 2 sort of temps. CPU Temp, this MUST stay under 60C and Core temps, which can go up to 100C. Temp2 is CPU on speedfan, temp1 is Mobo. TaT shows only Core Temps. Speedfan and Everest shows both.

If you want to be cheap and have a relatively good performance, go for the AC Freezer, thermal paste is included.

c2ds can go over 60C without issue, again C2qs idle at like 60C with the stock cooler...

that's Tcase, which is the temp between the IHS and the heatsink.

the actual core's temp is a bit diferent.
