more or less if it doesn't boot, then reset BIOS with the CMOS jumper. also, consider changing the timings in windows and testing with prime in windows.
What the hell is a CMOS jumper? xD Also, I'll consider it if you tell me how to change them in windows, and I will test them with prime.
Memset. http://www.overclock.net/intel-memory/1204...mset-3-0-a.html Still you'll have to do this each time your OS starts, that's why its better to change in bios. If your pc fails to boot at the settings you entered, you can remove the bios battery for a minute and then put it back in - it will load the standard defaults. Some motherboard have a button on the motherboard itself and on some you only have to hit a key to reset them.. Still latency doesn't say much...
was it BH5 or UCCT? I remember that a bit over a year ago, a 2GB kit of G.Skill RAM with UCCT went for like 160 on newegg. or did you buy something randomly without knowing what it was?
actually i brought cuz of a friend recommed it to me for gaming its now $170 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820134039 i brought it back in aug.
giving me a newegg link does nothing as ICs are often swapped. my RAM has micron D9 ICs, but later revisions use cheaper elpida based ICs. what ICs does your RAM have? based on some reviews, it might be UCCT or the newer micron 5b or something of the liek, though some other reviews show it as ----, so I'm nto suire as there is seeming inconsistency(ehh Kingston is always a gamble either you get the good stuff decent priced or you don't)
