lol topic what's the meaning about life #76
purely biological the meaning of life is self-preservation and preservation of the species.
so yeah love can be seen as the meaning of live just out of a biological point of view alone, also from an emotional view.

I don't really believe that there is a meaning to life, we're here, we live and we die. don't think there's a reason to it, just evolution and nature

Well, it really is a hard one, but a very interestin topic!
I guess my view on it is that finding a place in the world, someone to love, and just enjoying whatever you're doing is life. Being happy is what its all about?!

    Ya drink.
    ya party.
    ya get laid.

I believe the meaning of life can be many different things. Everyone has their own goals such as- religious values, love, sex, money, job. Different people find their own meaning. So it differs from one person to another. No one exactly knows the meaning of life obviously but scientists are trying to answer that question with many weird theories. I personally believe there must be an after life or we are in one big cycle of life. But to really answer this question we would have to answer the question. What was the beginning of time? Was there one? How are we here? What is the end? Is there an end? Stephen Hawkings, Gerald Schroeder, and many other scientist are trying to figure this out. Anyways long story short, you basically decide what your meaning is in life.

How about "relevant reference to an iconic and immensely popular work of literature"?

yes it is, but it's so easy to go into a "what's the meaning of life" topic and post that. instead of making an obvious joke you could actually try and angage in a (------) serious discussion ;)

You fell right into my trap. I posted that quiet little number as a simple way of drawing out people who find their life's meaning by searching through a public forum for little tidbits of humor they don't approve of, and making a big deal out of it.

I've done more for this thread than you have, Master-And-Overlord-Of-All-Things-Related-To-Humor.

By the way, your post is number 42 in this thread. Oh and it's spelled "engage" not "angage".

    Simple minded carbon-based creature. :P

In a more serious sense, though, the meaning of life is different for each individual. It is what they are destined to achieve. Whatever their ultimate achievement will be, it will be their non-biological meaning of life.

42 though is a less-complicated way of defining the meaning of life, though. Do remember that. ;)
