The best bet is just to reformat . oh and btw i see some toolbars, you shouldn't download them, most of them are spyware
why does everyone say reformat. most things can be solved without doing that. what virus program are they running and are they trying to do it with the computer in safe mode. also tell him to drop off any of the tool bars, basically only ones that are ------ reputable are google and yahoo(with some various others) PS if virus scan doesnt come up with virus's try spyware scanning also
he is running norton and the toolbar is yahoo's. also i did a virus scan and sypware scan for him and removed the ones found. I was hoping somebody can get more in depth.

also try and find a registry cleaner for it, virus's tend to love to hide out there and leaving small traces of them in the registry can be causing the problems, might work and might not never know just throwing out ideas
those are not malware as I have them in my log and I can access my yahoo and gmail perfectly fine. I have compared my clean log to his and doesn't seem to be much of a difference except he can't access his mail or messenger for yahoo.
yes he is using a nvidia graphic card and i posted at geekstogo already but still no reply and another computer fourm also.
