The 'third' world is too out of whack to fix. When will the UN learn they can't rule other countries?
www.test-your-IQ.com (again). So, since it *always* happens in these places, help shouldn't be given? You obviously haven't been outside your own borders...
And what about Israel bombing UN peacekeepers in the Israel-Lebanese conflict? And was this not after countless radio transmitions telling the Israels that the UN outpost was a UN outpost and not a Hizbullah building. I guess the flying UN blue flags didn't mean anything to the people giving the commands to bomb the building. Dont hide behind "Israel didnt know the building" Countless warning by the UN peacekeeprs which were received by Israel military commanders clearly shows that Israel knew what the building was. I do not support the actions of these terrorist but that does not mean that you should only report news stories condemning the Palestine's, why not show stories showing the reality of Israel and there treatment of the Palestine's.
...except that that issue was reported on in June of 2006 and this is a very recent issue. The bombing of the UN peacekeepers is not, relatively speaking. Please, keep your irrelevant agenda out of my topic. I enjoy discussing false websites telling others to go and get a brain without it being present. Let's keep it that way. As for your issue: did you read the subsequent e-mail-based articles from one of the Canadians, who said that Hezbollah were within 50 meters of his position and as such he didn't feel safe there (human shields, a rather prevailant tactic)? Probably didn't, and if you did, you most likely dismissed it as fabricated evidence to support the Israelis. You do realize that the blast radius from even a 200-lbs bomb is around 150 meters, meaning if it hits right on top of the Hezbollah position, the UN position will be hit as well? Add in to the fact that rockets were fired from the position numerous times (also in the e-mail) and that the Israelis will respond whether the round goes out from an open field or the top of a building proves the point. There's something about those peacekeepers' mandate that states that they couldn't be dug in near anybody's position for, you guessed it, safety reasons! Tragic loss, but one that could easily have been prevented. Want to discuss this further? Make a new topic on it. Feel free to quote me in it.
