ehh, just wait for drivers to improve. I might rag on vista as being a pointless performance hit at this moment... but as soon as I get 4GB RAM and drivers improve, I'm going for 64bit vista.
the reason i hate vista isnt only cuz of all the useless ---- and all the compatibility issues. Its also cuz of the technical support. I called and they helped me resolve the issue but now every day they call my phone (usually more then once a day) and they also call my moms phone when i tell them not to. Its so irratating
two things 1 WTF are you talking about, my stepfather is an idiot and has called M$ support withtout any such issue 2 are you an idiot? http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant
lolz you are moving to a mac because vista is crap? yes its crap at the moment because its new software and not much driver support and stuff I rather use my XP than buy vista any day at the moment - XP still kicks ass because its stable and vista pile of crap so far Once vista gets the support it needs like XP then vista will become superior in say 1 year tims DARKSTAR
I'm going to get Vista in December if my friend says its a good time to. If he tells me not to then I will wait 4 more months and then see what he says. But buying a Mac when you can reinstall XP... Waste of money
Mac is good, but Windows is better lol. JK I personally like MAC better but I have so many variations of Windows. I have 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows xp Home, windows xp ---, Windows Vista lol. but Vista sucks to many bugs. they need a service packkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
i wouldnt be getting a mac but i cant reinstall xp because it cam preinstalled. So mac for me (and macs are better for gfx)
what type of graphics? most of the stuff done on GR is done via photoshop and believe it or not... photoshop runs under windows as well maya also runs under windows but macs have iMovie... which is inferior to adobe premier... the common word is that macs are better for art, but it really depends on what type of media production you're doing and what programs you need. If there is a legitmate need to run OSX, then a mac might be a valid buy, since pirating OSX, while horribly easy, is still illegal albeit not prosecuted and you can install XP on virtually any system, just obtain a copy of the disc in some manner or another and install that.
so instead of spending $80 USD, you're spending $1800? ------ing idiot. Arr. I be pirate. I say no more!
