Try out Guild Wars. It costs about 40$ CND for unlimited online gameplay, just the one time fee for a game-key. I've been playing for 1200+ hours and it's still very, very enjoyable
Guild Wars, Silkroad Online, Kal Online, Flyff and Trickster Online are all pretty good, GW obviously being the best because you have to purchase the game first from a store but there are no fees after that.
Guild Wars isn't really an MMO, sure, you get together and do stuff, but that's the same concept as Diablo and the upcoming Hellgate: London. There is a thread at the top you know. Very recently I was in the CBT of Granado Espada, and I liked it for the music and it's difference. It is grindy though. If you want to check it up, it's going into Pre-Open Beta next month.

I'd rather buy an MMO (with or without monthly fee) then play an MMO thats free.
Thats not a Free To Play MMO. And the 15$ for that game isn't worth all the nerfs, overpowers, and the 90% guilds that only raid.
like most of the ppl on here guildwars for sure, or you could try maple story, though its kind of an anime-ish style
