    they're far from the best.

they're like falcon northwwest and voodoo for people on a budget.

you aren't that experienced in life then. Typically there is a huge premium for "the best".

don't get me wrong though, there is nothing wrong with having nice things if you have money pouring out of your ass

then again i don't and if i did, i'd likely be investing it in hopes of multiplying it.

    poor poor soul...

    http://www.sun.com/desktop/index.jsp

if you want a *nix based OS solaris is the way to go...

OSX has very poor SMP support, it's not made for a server enviroment, and I'm sorry to say that you won't really be properly utilizing all four cores under OSX.

then there is the simple matter of "WHY THE F' WOULD YOU PAY FOR A 2P WORKSTATION WITH TWO SOCKETS, WHEN A 1P SYSTEM WITH A SINGLE QUADCORE PROCESSOR IS QUIETER, MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT, CHEAPER AND BY THE NATURE OF IT BEING SIMPLER, MORE RELIABLE"?

also the graphics suck. it's definately nto a gaming card, and it's not one meant for ----- use as it has those capacities locked. if you were hoping to do multimedia graphics for pay, you'de have wanted a quadro, not a GeForce...
