yeah i feel Aussies shudn't win... Since they were dominators for a near decade... they shud be in final and shud loose... Since they proved few unprofessional act to many people including Sharad Pawar at Presentation ceremony in Champions Trophy...

I assume this was a reference to Damien Martyn

Everyone luv's to hate the aussies because they've dominated test and one-day matches for well over decade now. At times they seem and act arrogantly but they adopt a kill all approach when competing. And at times this can give the impression that they're concieted and arrogant, but apart from 1 or 2 incidents I think there conduct over this time has been highly proffessional.

Sounds like a case of tall poppy syndrome

As to the who might win ....Well I rate NZ as a really good chance to make it all the way and the pitches will certainly assist there slower bowlers. The batting lieneup is reasonably strong and certainly more then able to chase or make some big scores.

As to who they'll play well I think the aussies still have the talent and depth to make it all the way as long as our bowlers can turn there form around.

    New Zealand baby!
I'm a kiwi (from New Zealand) so I'll be cheering for them.

As for who will win, I'm putting my money on SA or India. Australia has been off form lately, and regardless of having Ponting and Gilcrest back in the squad, they still lost to England with the same team makeup.

As per usual the pakistan team puts in another poor performance losing their first match.

    Well done to the WI

    West Indies 241/9 (50 overs); Pakistan 187 (47.2 overs)

As everyone expected the aussies easly accounted for the scots with the 2nd best alltime winning margin for a WC.

Really looking frwd to the aussies vs SA coming up to guage where both teams are at. Plenty of prematch sledging and mind games already being played out thru the press should make this 1 entertaining match.

sure they are and heres the news for the match(Im a aussie support so cheers for them)
Scotland won the toss and elected to bowl
Matty Hayden and Adam Gilly score a partnership of 91 which is great news for the aussie
Ricky Pointing Scored a massive 113 runs for 91 which you can say secure the winning position for the Aussies :D
Although Australia is domainting Majid Haq took 2 wickets from 49 runs in his 7th over
Brad Hogg and Shane Watson saw out the innings, with Hogg smashing his way to 40 from only 15 balls
With contributors right down the list, Australia finished with 334 runs from the full 50 overs, probably one of the hardest to chase espeacialy when your team is not good
Scotland struggled against Australia, losing their fifth wicket for only 42 runs
Scotland were eventually able to find runs through the middle order, with wicket-keeper/batsman Colin Smith reaching 51 from 76 balls which is the best for the scotland side
Smith fell to Hogg to end Scotland's innings, all out for a meagre 131 in the 40th over
Glenn McGrath spearheaded Australia's attack in his last campaign, taking 3-14 as Australia won by a comfortable 203 runs
And guess what the aussie won :D

i too didn't think England will loose against NZ.... but NewZealand though they lost to Bangladesh made good comeback....

Yeah i said Aussies shudn't win since its my personal feel only...

Actually when Aussie Won Champions Trophy06 ponting in the presentation cremony didn't act professionally.... Also many said they were long champions... so they have tat quality with themselves.. but i feel there is Federer, Woods and lots more even more time continous Champions but they still are respecting others play... thats game all about...

If i injured others feeling i am really sorry as i mentioned its just my thought...

ok guys lets get back to WC07...

    Today India vs Bangladesh....
I am an Indianand Hope India wins... I feel we shud not take anyone lightly...

In my feel Ireland has proved some really nice quality in this WC... hats off to themmm
