Well, my friend has a PSP that he got 6 months ago and he bricked it while upgrading the firmware, via turning the PSP off while updating. Anyways, it has the usual bricking symptoms, turns on, green light, but nothing loads. Anyways, we were talking, and he may sell it to me for around 45-60 dollars. I was thinking about buying it and then sending it back to Sony to get it repaired. He said it doesn't have a Circuit City warranty, but does it have a certain warranty from Sony where they will repair it for a small fee? And even if the repair is like 50 bucks, I can still get a PSP for around 100 bucks. Do you think that it would be smart to buy it and then repair it or not?
i think he lied to you when he said he bricked it while turning it off, he was probably trying to downgrade his psp version and failed cause it was either a newer model or he did something wrong... if he didnt and really bricked it by updating which is pretty rare, i dont think sony accepts bricked psp's. Last time i checked was a while back so i suggest you call sony up, see what they say about that.. if they acceot it, they will send you a new one for 50. They did that to me about 1 year ago so like i said check what they said.
Yea, the only cases of bricking I've heard of are downgrading to 1.5 for games and hacking SOCOM lol. I don't think you can get that fixed, hes screwed
well, with the new eloader, you dont need to downgrade to 1.5, but its illigal to talk aboutit here anyway
