[fixed] Windows Movie Maker...

    I need a hand. I was gonna make a Naruto AMV. HOWEVEr a message poped up. Someone help me. This is the message.

    Go to:

    Tools->Options

    then check the box that says "Download codecs automatically" haha.

    I get the same message... Or do I have to re download them?

    no need to Re-download,Post a Image for You Options Settings..So I can Look at it

    Try playing that in WMP. I thinl its only in version 11 where you can look at the error details, but if it wont run, click the red x by it and go to error details, then go to Online help and see what codec it requires. Then download that manually.

    i had this problem before, couldnt get it fixed. i think i uninstalled it and re-installed

    Do you have the DivX codec?
    That let me play an AVI file I once couldn't play, so you could try that or just google AVI codec. Good luck!

    Google this "klcodec271f"

    Its a codec pack, and it made pretty much everything work on my PC, its awesome, it has so many decoders ^_^

    my problem was completely different from the OP's but this fixed my windows movie maker as well!

    i love how the pack did a little search and found all the codex registerys and such that were corrupt and or broken and fixed them :wub: :wub:
