OK I know to advertise your site you must have 20 reps.. no -5 reps and have to pay 250gr points to create a topic... and you have to put gamerenders "affiliate" banner on your site.. <_< Since we dont really get to affiliate with gamerenders.. I am suggesting a creating of a forum where members will look for affiliates for their site... people post request for affiliates for theyre site and people reply and stuff like that... o btw with no fee or anything... cause if members would pay to put up a request thats just going to be plain wrong but everyone needs affiloiates to advertise themselfs amongs other sites.. so why not create this affiliate forum?
Gamerenders also gets alot more pageviews than most other forums. Probably like 100+ to 1. So for them to offer advertising for 250 credits, just to put one little tiny affiliate button on a page full of other little affiliate buttons, is an awesome offer. In retrospect, 250 credits with +20 reps and no more than 5 negatives, is probably a bit cheap when I am sure some people would pay a few bucks to advertise there. I know I would.
yea.. but how many times have u actually went to the advertisement section adn browsed through forums checking out what people are advertising? I say about 98% of the member are not doing that... if they would put advertisements on top or something then yea thats a good deal but if its a special section w.e thats aint worth it... :/ ----------------------- P.S offtopic... lets talk about the affiliate program.. I know i can pm those people who advertised their sites and ask them to become affiliate with my site http://blahblah.com but then I might get banned for advertising through pm.. :/
If you don't like the advertising forum, you can pay to advertise. There are alternatives to that aspect. As for an affiliate forum, that won't happen here. If you're interested in affiliating with someone else's site, PM them and ask if they're interested in doing so without giving them a link, if they say yes you can discuss it further between yourselves.

I can name 100 sites out of the top of my head who do free advertising for you... :/ as for pming to request to become affiliates ok then dont see what the site looses from that but ok whatever.. sorry forgot I was dreaming that I was in a democratic forum where we can speak our minds not where if we post something we get barked at, and told its never going to happen... ehh whatever...... <_<
When has any forum been governed by the members? They will always be run by the administrative staff. Of course the staff asks the members some things about how they would like the site run but it is ultimately up to the staff. Members don't elect admins and moderators, they are chosen by the admins. In any case, noone barked at you, just stated simple facts. Gamerenders isn't like many sites, I have heard mention of it on almost every forum I have been at, whether it be a graphics forum, or a starcraft forum, or even a coding forum, they all seem to have some sort of connection to GR. If you could name me 100 sites that are equal to, or greater than gamerenders that offer 100% FREE, no scams, no hassles, advertising, I will buy a advertising topic for you.
The fact that GR is allowing people to advertise on its forum, is doing alot more benefit to the smaller forums advertising on us, then it is to GR. Not only are you getting to advertise on a forum, where yes, members do view those threads, you can see that by the number of views on each thread...but your getting backlinks on a site with contains a PR (page rank), which thus helps your sites PR, and gets you a higher ranking in google searches. Theres alot of overall benefits that people are getting by being allowed to advertise here on GR. If we wanted to, we could easily market advertising links on GR for 10 bucks a link easy. Because the sort of advertising we offer is worth alot, especially in the eyes of a web developer.
